Aardvark VAT Resource is now open for business! Please contact us for VAT advice, technical support and VAT compliance assistance.
Many businesses VAT assessments from HM Revenue & Customs without challenge, assuming that a VAT Officer must know what he's talking about.
Here at Aardvark VAT Resources we know that is not always true. Indeed, we have experience of cases where officers have been woefully ignorant of the rules or, even worse, apparently determined to assess irrespective of the rules.
We would encourage anybody who receives a VAT assessment to have it reviewed and Aardvark VAT Resources will do that free of charge. We will tell you whether the assessment can be challenged, how we can do that and give you an estimate of the fees likely be involved.
There are many reasons why a VAT assessment can be challenged, whether it's wrong technically, out of time or if the officer has overstated estimated income figures.
